Micron officially sells the world's first 2550 series 200-layer consumer technology SSD to PC OEMs

1.  It is reported that Micron Micron Technology announced that it will officially ship and sell the world's first 2550 series 200-layer consumer-grade technology solid-state drive NAND NVMe SSD client to PC OEMs. The performance of the hard drive is more powerful, and it is equipped with 232-layer TLC NAND flash memory and 2550 NVMe M.2 SSD product line. Some time ago, Micron also released its first 3D NAND flash solid-state drive for the consumer market, named 1100 series. At that time, it was said that there would be 2100 series in the future.

   Now the 2550 series will be released soon, which shows that Micron’s replacement speed is fast.

2. Previously, Micron's Crucial also launched the first batch of 176-layer QLC mass-produced SSD stacked NAND Flash data center solid-state drives.

   Innovative controller technology and Micron's 176-layer 3D NAND form the perfect Crucial P3 Plus.

3.  This product achieves a major breakthrough in flash memory performance and security, even the original master, designed to reduce latency and optimize to 2ms latency.  In addition, its 176-layer flash memory type is TLC NAND particles, which has better durability than QLC. At that time, the media said that the 176-layer NAND technology data center solid-state drive is the most advanced so far, and this time the Crucial P5 Plus is indeed very promising!

4.  The arrival of the first batch of 200TB SSDs is due to Micron’s new chip, and the new client SSD is due to Micron’s early preparations for new products in 2019—Micron’s new hard drive products that enhance the mobile computing experience. At that time, the new high-performance NVMe SSD product portfolio launched by Micron can improve client computing performance, mainly for cloud and enterprise markets; the world's first 1TB microSD card was also vigorously promoted, and the SD card was used to meet consumers' demand for mobile storage .

5. Micron's 3D NAND SSD capacity is indeed amazing, but SK Hynix's memory chip technology is not far behind.  At the beginning of this year, SK hynix officially announced the development of PIM, the first intelligent memory chip technology with independent computing functions. This technology speeds up chip calculations by up to 16 times.

   On the other hand, Samsung is also constantly meeting the further increasing demand for server SSDs, and will start preparing 200-layer NAND products in 2021. Samsung's     cost-effective stacking of more than 200 layers of eighth-generation V-NAND has pushed the development of flash memory chips to a new climax. Recently, Samsung's 990       PRO 1TB M.2 SSD has also been evaluated by a large number of user groups. The 990 PRO 1TB M.2 SSD is said to have reached the limit of PCI-E 4.0. Obviously, the       technology competition above 200 layers is fierce, and the NAND "3 major manufacturers + 1 dark horse" pattern is unfolding.
