On March 5th, 2015, CUI acquired the assets of Canadian power supply company Tectrol, Inc. CUI continues to operate the Toronto, Canada design and manufacturing facility and will utilize CUI’s resources to maximize effectiveness of this new business unit. Already a leader in the digital power space, the acquisition adds a portfolio of high-density, high-efficiency ac & dc power supplies ranging from 600 W to 12,000 W along with modified-standard and custom capabilities to CUI's Power group. The acquisition also significantly boosts CUI's power design and manufacturing resources with the addition of Tectrol's advanced 74,000 sq. ft. Canada engineering and production facility.

Investing in the community, whether through donations or direct involvement has been important to CUI since our founding 30 years ago. That spirit still lives on today as our employees regularly serve the local community with their time and talents. Each January, CUI offices shut down on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and the company spends their time volunteering, while throughout the year, CUI works closely with local charities to connect employees with additional volunteer opportunities.

Sales Partner Giving Program

In an industry first, CUI has initiated a program designed to give back to the local communities where our manufacturer's rep organizations reside. A percentage of total revenue generated by CUI’s rep network is set aside and donated to each firm on an annual basis as a charitable commission intended to be passed along to the charities of their choosing. Thanks to the hard work and generosity of our manufacturers’ reps over the years, this program has surpassed $1 million in contributions to charities around the world.
