Prime Technology is a privately owned company, first founded in 1973 in Mt. Vernon, New York. Since 1982, they have been located on twelve acres in North Branford, Connecticut in a 36,000 square foot facility. They also have a 20,000 square foot facility in the Dominican Republic for commercial manufacturing that has been operating since 1986. Prime Technology’s mission is to design and manufacture instruments and electronic systems through innovative engineering in order to surpass its customer’s needs and expectations. These are the principles that have guided the company’s growth from manufacturing wirewound resistors, resistor instruments, and measurement and indication equipment into integrated systems with broad applications. There are six divisions under the Prime Technology umbrella, each sharing the company’s vision.

They have developed an outstanding engineering department with a considerable 3-D modeling and design capability. They have developed a vertical manufacturing operation, with the ability to perform a variety of manufacturing processes such as automated surface mount pick and place, through hole assembly, wire bonding, mechanical assembly, metal fabrication, secondary machining, painting, and marking. They adhere to a rigorous Quality Program that conforms to the Nuclear Power Issues Committee (NUPIC) 10CFR50 Appendix B and 10CFR21. They also conform to MIL-I-45208 for inspection and MIL-STD-45662A for calibration.
