Sanyo is a 60-year-old large-scale enterprise group in Japan. It is headquartered in Osaka, Japan, and its products cover display, mobile phones, digital cameras, machinery, biopharmaceuticals and many other fields.

Panasonic acquired 50.27% stake in Sanyo, and Sanyo became a subsidiary of Panasonic on December 21, 2009.

Panasonic decided to stop operating the Sanyo brand on April 1, 2012.

In 2014, Sanyo exited the market.
