Founded in 1969 by David Metzger, Polytron Devices pioneered the development of linear power supplies and shipped many of the first units. They also sell to other well-known power supply companies who private-label their products for sale and distribution.

Early on, they offered just two product families—linear AC-DC power supplies and 10-watt DC-DC converters. Their focus on customer support and attention to global technological trends have allowed them to grow exponentially, and they now manufacture and distribute thousands of different products. Offerings include universal input power supplies, one-half to 200 watt DC-DC converters and linear power supply modules, available in original and upgraded designs.

All of their linear power supplies and many of their other products are designed, manufactured and tested in their 10,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Paterson, NJ. USA.
