In January, 2001, the dry-type electrical transformer business of the Hammond Manufacturing Company was spun off to form a new public company, Hammond Power Solutions, Inc. Hammond Power Solutions is a supplier of transformers and related magnetic products.

The types of products manufactured by Hammond Power Solutions include Control Transformers, Reactors and DV/DT Filters, Distribution Transformers, Motor Starting Autotransformers, Power Conditioners and Regulators, and Dry-Type Power Transformers.

Through the acquisition of Pan-Electro Technic Enterprises Private Ltd, HPS expanded its Asian presence and broadened its product offering and manufacturing capabilities in oil filled and dry-type technology.

HPS – Asia manufactures a variety of oil filled transformers up to 50 MVA, 132 kV Class, dry-type transformers up to 5 MVA, 33 kV Class and Furnace/Arc Furnace transformers up to 30 MVA.
