The purpose of the RoHS Directive is to reduce waste management problems associated with substances likely to pose risks to health and the environment.

While the RoHS Directive institutes strong safeguards to protect the Earth and its inhabitants, certain regions have developed their own legislation for products. Ethertronics is committed to sourcing components and materials from companies that share their core values around human rights, ethics and environmental responsibility. their suppliers are equally expected to abide by the requirements of their Supplier Code of Conduct, which prohibits human rights abuses and unethical practices. they also require all suppliers to comply with all applicable legal standards and requirements.

They believe in being socially responsible and to help end violence, human rights violations and environmental devastation in such regions as the Congo. This means they source such integral materials as Tantalum, tin, tungsten, and gold from conflict-free regions only.

Ethertronics also complies with any and all applicable requirements to their company under the Conflict Minerals Rule and also requires that all suppliers provide completed conflict minerals declarations as used in the latest Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT).
