Onsemi announces a long-term supply agreement (LTSA) with BMW AG (BMW) for onsemi's EliteSiC technology in the German premium carmaker's 400 V DC bus electric drivetrain.

Onsemi's latest EliteSiC 750 V M3 chips are used in full-bridge power modules delivering hundreds of kilowatts of power.

The strategic collaboration between the two companies during the development and integration of electric powertrains enables onsemi to offer differentiated and application-specific chip solutions, including optimized size and layout as well as high performance and reliability. Enhanced electrical and mechanical characteristics increase efficiency and reduce overall losses while delivering the highest system-level performance.
