GPS module
Here we use the NEO6M GPS module. The NEO-6M GPS module is a popular GPS receiver with a built-in ceramic antenna that provides powerful satellite search capability. The receiver is able to sense position and track up to 22 satellites and identify the position anywhere in the world. Through the onboard signal indicator, we can monitor the network status of the module. With a data backup battery, the module can save data when the main power is unexpectedly shut down.
The core inside the GPS receiver module is U-BLOx's NEO-6M GPS chip. It can track up to 22 satellites over 50 channels and has an impressive sensitivity level of -161 dBm. The 50-channel U-BLOx 6 positioning engine has a first location time (TTFF) of less than 1 second. The baud rate supported by this module ranges from 4800 BPS to 230400 BPS, and the default baud rate is 9600 BPS.
Features:
Operating voltage :(2.7-3.6) V DC
Operating current: 67 mA
Baud rate: 4800-230400 BPS (9600 default)
Communication protocol: NEMA
Interface: UART
External antenna and built-in EEPROM.
