VS offers a variety of services in the LED sector. For the individual LEDs, these are primarily the LED packaging, strapping and selection.

With the in-house chip sorter they are able to automatically sort LED chips according to their homogeneity, which in turn guarantees an optimal and uniform illumination.

In the field of LED modules, they support customer-specific developments for a wide variety of application areas - from the first idea to series maturity.

Photometric measurements
In their own light laboratory, they offer you the opportunity to determine all metrological parameters of photo, color and radiometry via photometric measurements. Two goniometers can be used to determine the exact radiation characteristics of individual LEDs or LED light modules up to a diameter of 350 mm.

The optical characterization is realized by means of the Ulbricht sphere (CIE 127). It enables a fast and precise measurement of the radiant power and luminous flux of different light sources.

Thermal measurements
Thermal management is one of their core competences. There are a variety of options available for testing the product or verifying the thermal simulation.

In addition to the classical method with thermocouples, they offer the possibility of transient measurement technology (MiReD?) for the resolution of the individual thermal transitions. Here individual layers can be checked and optimized. Also available for hotspot measurements is an IR camera. With this thermo-camera heat paths can be represented by temporally resolved measurements.
