Achronix Semiconductor Corporation is a privately held, fabless semiconductor corporation based in Santa Clara, California and offers high-performance FPGA and embedded FPGA (eFPGA) solutions. Achronix’s history is one of pushing the boundaries in the high-performance FPGA market. Achronix offerings include programmable FPGA fabrics, discrete high-performance and high-density FPGAs with hardwired system-level blocks, datacenter and HPC hardware accelerator boards, and best-in-class EDA software supporting all Achronix products.

History and Market Leadership

Achronix has a long history of delivering innovations in programmable logic segment that set the industry standard for performance, power, and cost leadership.In 2013, Achronix delivered the industry’s most advanced FPGAs with the introduction of Speedster22i FPGA family with embedded system-level IP for high performance wireline applications. Speedster22i  family was the first application-specific FPGAs that enabled new, innovative, and high-performance programmable designs.
In October 2016, Achronix announced the production availability of Speedcore embedded FPGA (eFPGA) IP for integration into customers’ SoCs. At the time of the announcement, Achronix had already shipped Speedcore IP to multiple customers. Since then, the demand for Speedcore IP has been unprecedented. Speedcore IP is designed for compute and network acceleration applications and is based on the same high-performance architecture found in the Speedster22i FPGAs.

All of Achronix products are supported by Achronix’s robust and proven ACE design tools. ACE is a powerful EDA tool that supports synthesis, place and route, plus timing closure and debug tools. ACE tools are available at no charge for evaluation.
