The intelligent gas meter is based on the five characteristics of NB-IoT technology: large connection, wide coverage, deep penetration, low cost, low power consumption, and the application architecture of intelligent gas meter NB-IoT is designed from the

The architecture consists of three components: NB-IoT Terminal (UE), NB-IoT Information Post Office (MPO), and NB-IoT Human Machine Interaction System (HCI).

1. NB-IoT terminal (Ultimate-Equipment, UE) is a kind of microcontroller (MCU) as the core, with data acquisition, control, computing and other functions, with NB-IoT communication function, even including mechanical structure, Software and hardware entities for specific functions. Such as NB-IoT gas meter, NB-IoT water meter, NB-IoT electronic card, NB-IoT traffic light, NB-IoT intelligent agricultural equipment, NB-IoT machine control system.

Hardware components: MCU, communication module, and other MCUs are responsible for data acquisition, processing, analysis, intervention execution, and intra-board communication with the communication module.

The communication module converts the intra-board connection of the MCU into NB-IoT communication to communicate with the remote server.

The UE may even include short-range wireless communication mechanisms to communicate with other IoT nodes.

2. NB-IoT Mssage Post Office (MPO) is an information transmission system based on the NB-IoT protocol. It consists of an NB-IoT base station eNodeB (eNB) and an NB-IoT management server. It acts as a bridge between information transmission between the NB-IoT terminal and the NB-IoT human-computer interaction system. It is the responsibility of the information provider to establish and maintain.

3. NB-IoT Human-computer interaction (HCI) is a software and hardware system for realizing information exchange, information processing and information services between people and NB-IoT information post office (NB-IoT management server). The goal is to enable people to use the general-purpose computer (PC), tablet, mobile phone and other devices to obtain data from the NB-IoT terminal through the NB-IoT information post office, and to implement functions such as controlling the terminal.

From the perspective of application development, the human-computer interaction system deals with the fixed IP address and port of the information post office, and realizes the information transmission with the terminal through this fixed IP address and port.

Uplink: Upstream means that the NB-IoT terminal transmits information to the human-computer interaction system through the information post office.

Downstream: Downstream refers to the human-computer interaction system transmitting information to the NB-IoT terminal through the information post office.

When the data is uplinked, the terminal transmits the information to the human-computer interaction system through the information post office.

This requires a computer called a management server to receive information from the terminal from the post office.

The management server receives data through a fixed IP address and port (PORT), but it does not know when the data will come, so it needs to be "monitor" at all times.
